4. Asennus ja kokoonpano

Follow these steps to assemble and install your fireplace mantel. Refer to the diagrams and videos for visual guidance.

1. Valmistele komponentit: Unpack all parts and lay them out on a soft, clean surface to prevent scratches. Identify the mantel top, legs, and hardware.
2. Assemble the Mantel Structure: Attach the legs to the top piece using the provided assembly hardware. Ensure all connections are firm and stable.
3. Measure and Mark for Hanger Board: Once the main mantel structure is assembled, place it on the ground. Measure the necessary height on your wall where the mitered hanger board will be mounted. Ensure the legs of the surround will sit flush to your hearth or floor.
4. Install Hanger Board: Drill pilot holes into the mitered hanger board. Mount the hanger board to the wall using appropriate hardware for your wall material (not included). Ensure the hanger board is level and flush to the wall. Going into wall studs is recommended if possible.
5. Mount the Mantel: Carefully lift the assembled mantel and align it with the installed hanger board. Using your fist, firmly tap down all along the back edge of the top of the mantel (next to the wall) until the two mitered hanger boards are securely seated together and your mantel is flush to the wall.

7. Scribe Moulding (Optional): Your purchase may include a 3-piece scribe moulding set designed to hide any gaps between the front of the mantel and the material behind it. Cut and/or place scribe moulding pieces if necessary. Legs may need to be readjusted for scribes to fit securely. Finish nails or construction adhesive (not included) may be needed for attaching the scribes. Please consult a professional if unsure.
