1. Johdanto

This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your LUNYEE GRBL USB Port CNC Engraving Machine Control Board. This 3-axis control board features an integrated driver and is designed for use with CNC routers and milling machines, supporting both spindle motors and laser modules.

2. Turvallisuustiedot

  • The spindle motor and laser module cannot be connected and operated simultaneously. Ensure only one is connected at a time to prevent damage.
  • The offline control board and the USB data cable cannot be connected simultaneously. Use one connection method at a time.
  • Always ensure all electrical connections are completed and secure before turning on the power.
  • Verify the correct polarity of the input power supply (DC12-48V). Reversing the positive and negative connections will cause irreversible damage to the control board.
  • The 48VDC interface is not designed for switching power supplies. The voltage passed through the DC seat of the control board must not exceed 5A.
  • This control board features an integrated driver. It is not recommended to use an external driver as this can lead to signal loss due to simultaneous signal transmission to both integrated and external drivers.

The LUNYEE GRBL control board is a 32-bit MCU board designed for precision control in CNC applications. It supports various components including stepper motors, spindle motors, and laser modules.

4. Asennus ja asennus

Before connecting any components, ensure the control board is powered off. Carefully follow the wiring diagrams and instructions below.

4.2. Connecting a 48V Spindle Motor

Refer to the diagram below for proper connection of a 48V spindle motor. Ensure the power supply matches the motor's requirements and is connected correctly to the control board's designated spindle port.

4.3. Connecting a 24V Laser Module

Refer to the diagram below for proper connection of a 24V laser module. Connect the laser to the appropriate 2pin or 3pin laser port on the control board. Remember that the laser and spindle cannot be used simultaneously.

4.4. Installation on Machine

The control board can be mounted onto your CNC machine using the provided screws and mounting plate. Ensure it is securely fastened and all cables are routed safely, away from moving parts.

The LUNYEE GRBL control board can be operated via a USB connection to a computer running GRBL-compatible software or through an optional offline controller.

After all connections are made, switch on the power to the control board. Observe the indicator lights to ensure proper power delivery.

5.2. Using the Offline Controller

The offline controller allows for direct control of the CNC machine without a computer. Connect the offline controller to the dedicated port on the control board. Use the controller's interface to navigate menus, load G-code files from a TF card, and manually jog the axes.

  • Keep the control board clean and free from dust and debris. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.
  • Regularly check all electrical connections for tightness and signs of wear.
  • Ensure adequate ventilation around the control board to prevent overheating, especially during extended operation.

  • No Power/Board Not Lighting Up: Check the power supply connection and ensure the polarity is correct. Verify the power switch is in the 'ON' position.
  • Spindle or Laser Not Working: Ensure only one of these is connected at a time. Check their individual power connections and ensure they are properly wired to the control board as per the diagrams.
  • Stepper Motors Not Moving: Verify stepper motor connections. If using an external driver, note that this board has integrated drivers and external drivers are not recommended due to potential signal loss.
  • Offline Controller Not Responding: Ensure the offline controller is securely connected and the USB cable is disconnected if using the offline controller.
