Johdanto

The SEBSON GS536GC photoelectric smoke detector is designed to provide early warning of dangerous smoke development. This device is certified according to DIN EN 14604 standards, ensuring reliable performance. Upon detecting smoke, the alarm emits a loud sound to alert occupants. The detector also features a self-test function and a low battery warning system for continuous safety monitoring.

Proper installation is crucial for the effective operation of your smoke detector.

1. Asennuspaikan valinta

Install smoke detectors on the ceiling in the center of the room, or at least 50 cm (20 inches) from any wall. Avoid installing in:

2. Akun asennus

1. Remove the mounting bracket from the smoke detector by twisting it counter-clockwise.
2. Insert the provided 9V DC block battery into the battery compartment, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
3. The detector will emit a short beep to indicate successful battery installation.

3. Ilmaisimen asentaminen

You can mount the detector using the included screws or an appropriate adhesive (not included).

   • Mark two drill holes on the ceiling using the mounting bracket as a template.
   • Drill the holes and insert wall plugs if necessary.

2. Adhesive Mounting (Optional, not recommended for all surfaces):

   • Apply a suitable adhesive (e.g., double-sided adhesive pad, not included) to the back of the mounting bracket.
   • Press the bracket firmly onto the desired ceiling location for at least 30 seconds.
   • Align the smoke detector with the mounting bracket and twist clockwise until it locks securely in place.

Käyttöohjeet

Normaali toiminta

Once installed with a fresh battery, the smoke detector will enter normal operating mode. A short flash of the LED indicator every 32 seconds confirms that the unit is powered on and performing its self-test function.

Ilmaisimen testaus

To manually test the smoke detector, press and hold the central test button for approximately 5 seconds. The alarm will sound loudly, and the LED will flash rapidly. Release the button to stop the alarm. This test verifies the battery, alarm, and sensing circuitry are working correctly.

Hälytyssignaali

When smoke is detected, the alarm will emit a loud, continuous sound (≥ 85 dB at 3 meters) and the LED will flash rapidly. In case of an alarm, evacuate the premises immediately and contact emergency services.

Alhaisen akun varoitus

When the battery is low, the detector will emit a short chirp approximately every 30-40 seconds, accompanied by a brief LED flash. This indicates that the battery needs to be replaced immediately.

Huolto

Säännöllinen huolto varmistaa palovaroittimesi jatkuvan luotettavuuden.

• Viikoittainen testaus: Press the test button weekly to confirm the alarm is functioning.
• kuukausittainen siivous: Gently vacuum the exterior of the smoke detector with a soft brush attachment to remove dust and cobwebs. Do not use cleaning agents or solvents.
• Akun vaihto: Replace the 9V alkaline battery when the low battery warning sounds. Although the battery has a 5-year life, it is replaceable. Always use a fresh, high-quality 9V alkaline battery.
