1. Johdanto

The Sorry Board Game is a classic game of strategy and luck designed for family fun. The objective is to move all four of your pawns from your Start space to your Home space by navigating the game board and utilizing special cards. This manual provides detailed instructions for setup, gameplay, and general care.

2. Asennus

2. Each player selects a color and takes their four matching pawns. Place these pawns in your designated 'Start' area.
3. Shuffle the deck of Sorry! cards thoroughly.
4. Deal five cards face down to each player. Players should keep their cards secret from opponents.
5. Place the remaining shuffled deck face down in the center of the board, in the 'Cards Here' space.
6. Turn the top card of the draw pile face up and place it next to the draw pile to begin the discard pile.

3. Käyttö (Peliohjeet)

Players take turns in a clockwise direction. On your turn, draw one card from the top of the draw pile and follow its instructions. The goal is to be the first player to move all four of your pawns from your 'Start' area, around the board, and into your 'Home' space.

• Moving a Pawn: Cards will instruct you to move a pawn forward or backward a specific number of spaces.
• Starting a Pawn: To move a pawn from your 'Start' area onto the main track, you typically need to draw a specific card (e.g., a '1' or '2' card, depending on the edition).
• Bumping Opponents: If your pawn lands on a space occupied by an opponent's pawn, the opponent's pawn is sent back to their 'Start' area.
• Liukuva: Some spaces on the board are 'Slide' spaces. If your pawn lands on the start of a slide of your color, you slide to the end of that slide, bumping any opponent's pawns in your path back to their 'Start' area.
• No Valid Move: If you draw a card and cannot make a valid move with any of your pawns, you must discard the card and your turn ends.

Special Card Actions:

• Card '1' or '2': Allows you to move a pawn from your 'Start' area to your 'Starting Circle' on the main track, or move an active pawn forward 1 or 2 spaces respectively.
• Card '4': Move a pawn backward 4 spaces.
• Card '7': You can split the move between two pawns (e.g., move one pawn 3 spaces and another 4 spaces), or move one pawn 7 spaces.
• Card '10': Move a pawn forward 10 spaces, or move one pawn backward 1 space.
• Card '11': Move a pawn forward 11 spaces, or swap places with an opponent's pawn.
• 'Sorry!' Card: Take one of your pawns from your 'Start' area and move it to any space occupied by an opponent's pawn, sending that opponent's pawn back to their 'Start' area.

Turvavyöhyke:

The last five spaces of each player's track, leading to their 'Home' space, constitute the 'Safety Zone'. Pawns in the Safety Zone are protected from being bumped by opponents. However, you must still move them according to card instructions.

Entering Home:

To move a pawn into your 'Home' space, you must draw a card with the exact number needed to land directly on 'Home'. If you draw a card that would cause you to overshoot your 'Home' space, you cannot move that pawn into 'Home' on that turn.

Pelin voitto:

The first player to successfully move all four of their pawns into their 'Home' space wins the game.
