The Kegland RAPT Bluetooth Thermometer (Model KL24334) is a low-energy Bluetooth-enabled device designed for precise temperature monitoring. It is compatible with various RAPT-enabled systems such as the Gen 4 BrewZillas, RAPT Temperature Controllers, and RAPT Fermentation Chambers. This thermometer features a durable 20cm HTC probe, ideal for a range of brewing and distillation applications. This manual provides essential information for setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting your RAPT Bluetooth Thermometer.

Asennus
1. Akun asennus
The RAPT Bluetooth Thermometer requires two AAA batteries (not included). To install:
- Irrota paristokotelon kansi laitteen takaosasta.

To utilize the full functionality of the RAPT Thermometer, download the RAPT app and pair it with your device:
- Download the RAPT app from Google Play Store (Android) or Apple App Store (iOS).
- Follow the in-app instructions to pair your RAPT Bluetooth Thermometer with your smartphone or other RAPT-enabled devices (e.g., BrewZilla Gen 4, RAPT Temperature Controllers, RAPT Fermentation Chambers).
4. Asennusvaihtoehdot
The thermometer offers flexible mounting:
- Silicone Backing: The redesigned silicone backing allows you to hook the unit over the side of a boiler or fermenter for convenient placement.
- Lid Clips: For a more secure option, loop the silicone backing onto lid clips (available on some BrewZilla models) to firmly hold the unit in place.
- Magneettinen kiinnitys: The unit also features a magnet on the back, allowing it to attach to steel surfaces (note: it will not attach to stainless steel).

Käyttöohjeet
1. Virta päälle/pois
Press the main button on the front of the unit to turn it on. The display will show the current temperature. To turn off, press and hold the button until the display turns off, or allow it to auto-off.
2. Temperature Display & Units
The LCD screen displays the temperature. The contrast has been optimized for better readability. To switch between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F):

- Unplug the temperature probe from the unit. The screen will display "OPn" (Open circuit error).
- Double-click the main button. The display will cycle between °C and °F.
- Once your desired unit is shown, plug the probe back in. The unit will now display temperatures in the selected unit.

3. Automaattinen virrankatkaisutoiminto
The thermometer has an adjustable auto-off timer to conserve battery life. To adjust:

- Double-click the main button. The screen will show the current auto-off time in hours (e.g., "97H").
- Each subsequent double-click will cycle through different time settings (0-99 hours).
- To keep the unit on continuously, cycle past 99 hours until the display shows "--" (strike-strike). This indicates continuous operation.

4. RAPT Portal Integration
When paired with RAPT-enabled devices, the thermometer can send data to the RAPT portal for logging and control. This allows for:
- Real-time temperature graphing and monitoring.

- Setting alerts and alarms for temperature deviations.

Huolto
1. Puhdistus
The stainless steel probe and its Teflon-coated braided cable are waterproof and can be submerged in liquid. Clean them with warm soapy water and rinse thoroughly after each use. The main thermometer unit is NOT waterproof; do not submerge it in liquid. Wipe the main unit with a damp liinalla tarvittaessa.
2. Pariston vaihto
Replace the AAA batteries when the low battery indicator appears on the display or when the unit fails to power on. Using good quality batteries can provide over six months of continuous usage.

- "OPn" Error on Display: This indicates an open circuit. Ensure the temperature probe is securely plugged into the unit. If the error persists, the probe cable may be damaged and require replacement.

- Enhanced Brewing/Distillation Control: Utilize multiple RAPT Bluetooth Thermometers to monitor different temperature points simultaneously. For brewing, place one in the core of the malt pipe and another near the heating element. For distillation, monitor coolant water temperature, still head temperature, and spirit output temperature to optimize your process and prevent issues like excessive vapor loss.
- Turvallinen sijoitus: The improved silicone backing is designed to hook securely over the rim of your BrewZilla or other vessels. For even greater stability, use the lid clips on compatible BrewZilla models to firmly attach the thermometer.
- Continuous Logging: If you need to log temperatures over extended periods (e.g., several days for fermentation or greenhouse monitoring), remember to set the auto-off timer to continuous mode ("--") to prevent the unit from shutting down.
